Things are well on their way in Preschool. We have been learning about Autumn for the last few weeks and will continue this until after Halloween. The first two weeks of November, we will be learning about germs and how to stay healthy. After that, we will move on to weather. We are continuing with the letter of the week. It seems to be going really well. If you send something in that you need to get back right away, please let me know and I will send it back.
We have started a new behavior chart, to try to get the sillies out of the classroom. If your child listens to the teachers they receive a sticker. If they get a sticker every day. They get to choose a prize out of the prize box, at the end of their week.
Thank you for helping keep the cubbies neat by bringing home share toys and art work. Please bring home all bedding at the end of the week, for laundering. This is a state regulation. Also, make sure you are signing your children in/out everyday. This is especially important at the end of the day after I’ve gone home.

This is a big year for your children and we are very excited about it.
This year your children will be learning all the new things they need to know to be ready for Kindergarten. They will learn how to recognize the upper and lower case letters, recognize their numbers, count objects, share and take turns.
As they move to the blue room there will be some changes. Their lunch boxes will be kept in the classroom next to the sign in/out sheet. Their bedding will be kept in their cubbies. Please do not send them to school with toys from home unless it is their share day. Stuffies for rest time are fine to bring in.
Share time will start next week. On their share day they will be able to bring in something they want to tell their friends all about. There will be times when they will be asked to bring in something that correlates with the theme we are working on.
We will be starting out the year learning "All About ME" and then we will move onto Autumn.

Please send your child to school prepared for the day with appropriate clothes for possible cold temperatures. As we enter fall layering is a good idea so children can be warm all morning and not too warm if we are blessed with afternoon sunshine.
Thank you,
Isis and Jessica
