Wow, I can’t believe November has already come and gone. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We have started learning about weather. We will be focusing on this for the next few weeks. While we are learning about different themes we are also working on letter recognition, sounds, number recognition, story retelling, predicting, following directions, concepts and self help skills.
Thursday Dec. 8, Ms. Jodi will be coming in and doing a snowman project with the children.
Friday Dec. 16, Amy Badurina will be coming in to teach a lesson on Hanukkah.
I am working on assessing the children, to see where we are at this school year. I will be sending home notes, to let you know how they are doing.
Thank you for sending your children in with winter gear. Some days, it has really helped. Please double check all gear and make sure that names are on them.

As a reminder, we do have children that have nut allergies. When exposed to certain nut products these children can have reactions that could potentially be very serious. As a precaution here at FCC we provide snacks that are safe for all children to eat. We also provide tables for snacks and lunches that are "NUT FREE." Tables are sanitized before and after meals to also ensure safety for everyone. Please help us keep everyone safe- if you are bringing a treat/snack to share please check with classroom teachers to make sure the food will be safe for everyone!

Welcome to the amazing world of Preschool. This is a big year for your children and we are very excited about it. This year your children will be learning all the things they need to know to be ready for Kindergarten. They will learn how to write their names, recognize the upper and lower case letters, recognize their numbers, count objects, share and take turns. As they move to the blue room there will be some changes. Their lunch boxes will be kept in the classroom next to the sign-in/out sheet. Their bedding will be kept in their cubbies. Please do not send them to school with toys from home unless it is their share day. Stuffies for rest time are fine to bring in. Share time will start next week. On their share day they will be able to bring in something they want to tell their friends all about. There will be times when they will be asked to bring in something that correlates with the theme we are working on. We will be starting out the year learning “All About Me” and then we will move onto Autumn. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to ask. You can also contact me via email at

Please make sure your child has a FULL set of clothing each day in case of an accident or wetness from outdoor play. We do have some spare clothing BUT we don't always have the correct sizes for all children. A full set of clothing includes: pants, shirt, underwear and socks! Thanks in advance.
